IZMIR TOP in MOSAIC

A stocking-stitched top that stretches to sit off the shoulder, or over to to create a gently-rolled cowl.

An ongoing series that continues to explore colour and form on the surface of a hand-knitted textile. Using yarns sourced from the Western Aegean coast of Turkey. Hand-knitted using intarsia techniques in double-thread mélange variations. Their abstract motifs are evocative of vibrant spaces around the Anatolian landscape where these fibres were sourced and treated.
